Having successfully carried out a full refurbishment of the Pasta Di Piazza restaurant in Stone, DV Architects’ interior design specialists were asked to extend the new brand development concept to a complete refurbishment of the Newcastle premises. The restaurant had a number of small rooms and a bar area, which meant that the layout was not working to its full potential. The challenge was to make better use of the interior and exterior space available, incorporating a fresh, new look that would appeal to a new audience without alienating the restaurant’s loyal customers.
DV Architects’ venue design specialists used clever space planning to create a new layout. The new architectural design altered the floor plan to run on a single level, maximising the seating space and accommodating up to 138 guests. The team worked closely with the branding agency to create an elegant, stylish, rustic and relaxing environment for customers from the moment they first walk in, making them feel comfortable and at ease straight away. The result was a fusion of rustic Italian charm and industrial design. Following the refurbishment and rebrand, turnover increased by 20%.
