The Dunkenhalgh hotel is an upscale spa hotel in a 14th-century country manor house in Blackburn.
DV architects have completed an extensive refurbishment throughout, which includes a full overhaul of their conferencing suite, bar & restaurant areas, reception and 175 bedrooms & en-suites.
The design throughout had to work for both leisure & commercial clientelle, as the hotel is very popular with business people for 5 days of the week but then at weekends it becomes a weekend retreat and popular wedding venue.
The local & building history was very important to our client and was always at the forefront of all our ideas.
